Terms of Use

These are the terms on which we provide ILO FLOW. By using it you accept them. They are shorter than most because the product is straightforward: it teaches accounting, and you can use most of it without paying or registering.

1. What ILO FLOW is

ILO FLOW is an interactive accounting-education product operated by Finotech Solutions LLP, a limited liability partnership in Kenya. It teaches double-entry reasoning through guided scenarios, journal practice, error hunting and a simulated business.

3. Accounts

You can use ILO FLOW without an account; your progress then lives in your browser only and is lost if you clear your browser data or change device.

If you create one: give accurate details, keep your password to yourself, and tell us at finotechsolutionsllp@gmail.com if you think someone else has access. One account is for one person. You must be at least 16 to create one.

You can delete your account at any time from account settings. Deletion is irreversible and removes your learning history. Payment records are retained where tax law requires it — see the Privacy Policy.

4. Free plan, Premium and advertising

The free plan includes the first five Business World missions, the full Journal Practice module, the full Error Hunter case archive and the core ILO → OLI learning path. It is funded by advertising, which you may choose to receive as personalised or non-personalised.

Premium unlocks the complete scenario universe, deeper adaptive mastery and your full mission history, and removes advertising entirely.

We may change what each plan contains. If a change removes something material from a plan you have already paid for, we will tell you and you may cancel for a pro-rata refund of the unused period.

5. Payment, renewal and refunds

• How you pay. On the web, through M-Pesa / KCB or PayPal. In the mobile apps, through the Apple App Store or Google Play, whose own terms then also apply to that transaction.
• Prices. Shown before you pay, in the currency displayed at checkout, inclusive of any applicable tax. Payment-provider charges are theirs, not ours.
• Access. Premium begins when the payment is confirmed by the provider and runs for the period purchased. A payment that the provider never confirms grants no access, and we will not charge for it.
• Renewal. Web purchases are for a fixed period and do not auto-renew. A subscription bought inside a mobile app renews according to that store's rules and is cancelled in that store's settings, not here — we cannot cancel it for you.
• Refunds. If Premium fails to unlock after a confirmed payment, or you were charged twice, write to finotechsolutionsllp@gmail.com and we will refund or correct it. Beyond that, because access is granted immediately and in full, we do not otherwise offer refunds for a period already started — except where consumer law gives you a right we cannot exclude. App-store purchases are refunded by the store.

6. Acceptable use

Please do not: share or resell your account; attempt to reach another learner's data; probe, scan or attack the service, or try to bypass its rate limits or the Premium gate; scrape the scenarios or teaching content in bulk; automate access in a way that degrades the service for others; or upload anything unlawful.

Security research is welcome — report findings to finotechsolutionsllp@gmail.com rather than publishing them, and do not use real learners' accounts to do it.

7. Intellectual property

ILO FLOW, its scenarios, teaching content, mentor dialogue, artwork, the ILO FLOW name and the Finotech Solutions LLP name and marks belong to Finotech Solutions LLP and its licensors. You may use them to learn, personally. Copying the content for republication, or using it to build a competing product or to train a machine-learning model, requires our written permission.

Your learning data is yours. Using ILO FLOW gives us no ownership of it, and we do not sell it.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep ILO FLOW available but do not promise uninterrupted service: maintenance, provider outages and faults happen. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service entirely while you hold paid access, we will refund the unused period.

9. Ending your use

You may stop at any time and delete your account from account settings. We may suspend or close an account that materially breaches section 6, or where we must for legal reasons. Where it is possible and lawful to warn you first, we will. If we close a paid account for a reason that is not your breach, we will refund the unused period.

10. Liability

ILO FLOW is provided as it is, for education. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for any loss arising from a decision you took in reliance on this teaching tool rather than on professional advice (see section 2). Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your own country.

If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
